Hi. So I've had this awful ear pressure for about 9 months now. It just wont go away. It sometimes sounds like there's fluid in them. When I yawn a certain way sometimes it makes a crackling noise....almost like if I crumpled up/tore some newspaper right next to my ear. Sometimes it's a little sore when I yawn. I've been to my doctor probably 4 times for this issue and all he's done is prescribe me on antibiotics and steroid nasal sprays. I've been to an ENT countless times. My ENT thought it was a sinus issue and that I might have eustachian tube dysfunction since I had enlarged adenoids and a deviated septum. So I had surgery to correct both of them about 5 months ago. I've been on decongestants, antibiotics, and steroid sprays (you name it, I've done it), since the surgery. When I open my jaw my ears feel a lot of pressure almost as if they're sort of popping. I've been looked at for TMJ. Pretty sure I don't have that. If I click my tounge to the roof of my mouth it makes a clicking noise. I've tried wax removing techniques. Pretty sure it's not wax build up. The latest thing is if I stick my finger in one ear a certain way it will make pressure in my other ear (like that liquid-y pressure). Whenever I fly I'm miserable. I've tried hot water and steam countless times. I do have bad allergies sometimes. I'm allergic to cats and we have two. I'm always sneezing. But I don't think that's what it is. This has been the most frustrating thing I've ever been through ): If anyone out there has any thoughts as to what it might be please say! I really want it to go away! So bad!!! Thank you! more

Okay so i work 50+ hrs a week and party on my days off. Well i dont remember my last period sometime in march but i know for sure i DID NOT have one in April. iv been having abdominal pain for about a week now and vomiting for 2weeks. I went to my regular physician, she sent me with paperwork to get an x-ray done at the hospital but they couldnt do it because i came up positive for pregnancy on MAY 2,2013 They also did blood work also came up positive. well my hcg levels were 20 on may 2, 2013 and i went to the er today, doctor said My hcg levels are 126 may 4,2013 Im around 3-5 weeks. cannot see a baby in my tubes or uterous am i having a misscarriage or is the baby still developing just that its small. I am participating in a dance concert, and some moves require me to be more flexible. One examiple of a move is - bending my left knee down to the ground gradually while keeping my right leg straight and stretching out to the side. I am a 13 year old girl. I can barely even touch my knees, let alone my toes. I'm slightly overweight, and not THAT fit. I recently injured my back (still yet to go for my x-ray) and my legs and back hurt even more than they used to when I stretch, which makes it hard too. So basically, I'm looking for some stretches that won't worsen my back/leg pain, but will make it easier to do the bends and stretches for my dance. In January I gave birth to a baby girl. She passed away 4 hours later from a condition called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. Her case was severe, most of her organs were in her chest cavity and her liver was the size of a fist. I had multiple ultrasounds during my pregnancies, at least 6, because I'm a type 1 diabetic. This condition is usually diagnosed during pregnancy and I'm wondering how this wasn't seen? Seeing as it was such a severe case, her organs were in the wrong area, and her liver was so huge. I kept being told she looked "perfect" I even elected to have my tubes tied and while they were tying my tubes they called my husband back to tell him something was wrong with our daughter. Now I can't have children again unless I try a tubal reversal, if it even works. Not to mention that there is a surgery that can be performed while pregnant that might have saved my daughters life. Resolved Question: Vet cannot figure out why cat is still sick after bacteria in urine is gone?

My kitten is 8 months old. He got neutered at 4 months. He acted weird afterwards and we thought it was just a personality change due to hormones. Eventually he was licking his privates a lot, lethargic, and peeing outside box and it was brown. So we took him to the vet. They said stress could have cause a UTI and they found cocci bacteria in his urine and blood. So they have him clavamox, some sort of shot, and pain meds. I came back for a urinalysis after the 10 day supply was done and he was good. Next day he peed brown on the floor, more bacteria in urine. They gave him amoxi drops. He got diarrhea and didnt use box so they told me to stop using it. So I got more pain meds and more clavamox. He ended up throwing up and still looking sick. So I decided to go to a different vet because 3 months of this was enough. So I had this vet run every test possible. There was bacteria in urine but when cultured nothing grew. Everything was normal in blood and only one thing came back high but I can't remember what that was but she said it wasn't explaining anything about his bladder problems. He has no crystals or stones, no abstinces from neutering. So she said the only thing left to do was X-ray and ultrasound but for what? I paid a ton of money to have all these tests twice and nothing is telling us what's wrong so I'm reluctant to $500 pay for more tests that may show nothing. His symptoms at the moment are: lethargy, rapid breathing, had a fever, sneezing this morning is new, runny eyes. But he has improved because he is using the litter box and eating and drinking and walks around every now and then. But has anyone ever had this problem? I thought it was bladder problems but now that he doesn't have bacteria or stones I don't know what to think. more

So I run a company installing aquariums. I went to a work site with my employee and the floor was dusty. It was in some basement, and the dust was from drywall that was previously put up. We did our work and left. My employee now is complaining that the dust has given them bronchitus and they must get a chest x-ray. The employee made no mention to me that they wanted to wear a face mask during working, but the employee is now saying that I should have provided one. I do not know the process of how workers comp works, but should I be worried at all? Should I let the employee go due to them being a high risk liability for my company? Resolved Question: My mom has a spot on her lung?

About four weeks ago, my mom went to the hospital because she felt pain under her ribs, (both of the sides). The doctors gave her an X-Ray and they realized she had a spot on her lung which the doctor told her it was the size of a single rice. The doctor kept asking her if she used to or is currently smoking, which she is not. My mom is a non smoker, she has never smoked in her whole life. In two days, she has an appointment to a bigger hospital and she is going to go through a tube (not sure what it is called). She has also been feeling an ache on her back right where the spot is claimed to be. She doesn't cough up blood, or has trouble breathing. I'm REALLY worried about her..that sometimes I break down in the middle of the night crying.. with out my mom i'm nothing, i could go kill myself.. I'm extremely concerned for her health due to the fact that we're not sure if it may be cancer. Is there anything other than cancer she could have? :( more

My old crt TV died not too long ago. The wooden unit that held the TV is now upstairs and in the room where my computer is, which I use a lot. I read that CRT TV's can give out ionizing radiation, my question is, and I know I might sound a little paranoid, but can the ionizing radiation stick to the wooden unit, and affect me while I am sitting next to the computer? The old TV itself is downstairs, and dead waiting to be disposed of properly. Is the wooden unit a danger to me in anyway because of the radiation from the TV? I should say that the wooden unit held the TV for a number of years, don't know if that will have any effect. more

I didn't have any falls or accidents, but it was the constant pulling on my arms that caused this. I went to an orthopedist, and had an MRI arthrogram which came back fine. I have multi-directional instability and shoulder subluxation which means my shoulder slips in and out of socket (it partially dislocates) from the front, back, and down. I have loose, stretched out ligaments that's causing this. I was told I could play the fall season of basketball and then to have a follow-up appointment when the season's over at the end of March. I was referred to physical therapy. If PT doesn't work, we'd look at surgery as the next option. The goal of PT was to build up my strength to hold my shoulder in place. So, I have done 6-7 months of PT (going to the clinic and doing it at home too). Even though my strength is great, my shoulder still slips in and out daily. It's very unstable. It slips mainly when picking things up and bringing my arm so that it's bent at my side (for example, picking up my purse, the jug of milk, even running down the stairs). I have the follow up appointment with the orthopedist tomorrow (Tuesday) to have my shoulder re-evaluated. I'm afraid he'll say I may need surgery to tighten my shoulder up as it's just so loose. Resolved Question: Tooth Pain after root canal?

My dentist took out a 20 year old filling about a year ago and put a crown since she said other cavities and affected the tooth (bottom left molar #18). After about 9 months the crown cracked. She broke the crown, made the tooth smaller to put a new crown. But after making the tooth smaller it became sensitive so she asked me to get a root canal. I got the root canal and was under a lot of discomfort. When I would floss the edge of the tooth would pain & I could feel the sensitivity. There was mild pain when I would bite on it but more than the pain there was constant heaviness type feeling in the area. Even my ear would sometimes pain. So I visited another Endodontic who said the earlier root canal did not look right. He redid the root canal. It has been 3 weeks and the tooth is still paining randomly. I cannot bite with the tooth since the pain is much more than before. But I do not have the same kind of discomfort as I had after the first root canal. 70% of the time the tooth is not paining but I still cannot eat anything from that side. Sometimes the pain is very high and at other times there is no pain at all. Sometimes I feel a lot of pressure in the tooth as if there is something inside the crown. Sometimes when I press the tooth with my finger it feel pain but other times I do not. Sometimes when I tap the tooth with my finger I feel pain but other times I do not. One of my friends is a dentist and she took an X-ray and felt that there is a third canal. But the two dentists who treated me do not agree that there is a third canal. What should I do? Is there a third canal? more

Im a 15 year old girl. A couple of weeks ago I went to the doctors for a lump in my neck. She had me get blood work (cancer, catscratch, mono and the others she tested for were negative) She gave me clindamycin because if it was swollen glands that would get rid of it. Well I go back on Tuesday, I have a problem though, the lump is still in my neck. I have had a problem with the side of my neck before, where it swelled up huge, one doctor did surgery and cut some out, another said it was a dead tooth and I had the tooth removed. Its very complicated to explain everything that happened. Anyways.. What could this lump be.? more

Hey Everyone, I had a spontaneous lung collapse a few days ago. The pain first started suddenly after waking up from sleep and going to work. I waited it out and figured it was just a pulled muscle. However it finally got to the point I decided I would go and get it checked out. At the hospital they did a xray and confirmed I had a lung collapse. They told me that since it was under 10% they did not need to do any surgery, or put in a tube and it would heal by itself. I stayed the night and they monitored me + oxygen. I performed well on all tests and oxygen remained 100% even off the mask. I went home and then felt out of breath when eating :( it was so sever, I had to come back. So I stayed another night at the hospital yesterday and just came back. With every x ray I have taken so far they have all been good with no issue. They say it is improving. My questions are Is this common? I am a tall thin male 19. What now? what are the odds of it happening again? Although the pain was on the right I sometimes feel it on the left When eating, i get immedaitly out of breath after .. could it just be anxiety? Anything else I should know about!? has this happened to anyone? im so worried :( more

So almost a week ago i took my cockatiel to the vet because he was really sickly, they took blood and gave him an exam. He had high white blood cells, they thought it was due to the antibiotics he was on. He also had high kidney function and they assumed it was because he was dehydrated. Something was seriously wrong with his GI Track. He had a lot of glass and the vet emphasized A LOT. They noticed his crop wasn't emptying. Oh by the way the reason i took him in was because he did nothing but slept and that day didn't eat or poop. Anyway they put him on laxatives and sucralfate i think? in case he had an ulcer. Next step x-ray it showed grit in his stomach and enlargement at the end of his esophagus she thought it could have been fibers. So generally they thought it was something he ate. and a few days in ICU care being tube fed and hydrated he got better! yay! but i noticed something when i brought him home his chirp was a lot higher pitched than normal. What could this be? is his throat just irritated or could he have like some kind of affection? what do you think? more

Hello, i have a 3 year old english bull terrier that is being sick whenever he goes for his walk. He also sounds like he is trying to clear his throat and his neck puffs out often. We have taken him to the vets, his blood and urine tests were normal, he's had x-rays which are also ok, he's had tablets for pancreitis, Lungworm and stomach acid which has not helped at all. We've changed his food and split his meal portions up to into smaller meals to try and combat any "acid" problems he may have, to no avail. we've noticed that when he licks dog pee it seems to accelerate his sickness problems Any help will be greatly appreciated more

Hi I am a healthy 24 years old male. My only medical background is having testicular cancer and severe anxiety disorder since returning home from combat. I recently have been getting soreness and aches from the bottom of my throat between my collar bones to about half way down my chest right in the middle where the rib cage meets. I went to the doc they took about 5 tubes of blood took a chest x ray and gave me an EKG everything looked normal. Has anyone ever had anything similar to this ? Was an x ray good or should i push for a CAT scan ?. Is this a result from suffering from severe anxiety ? more

Hello, i had a partially collapsed lung 3 weeks ago and they told me it wasn't at the point where i needed the tube put in and told me it should recover by itself. I went back after a week for an x-ray and they told me it looked alot better but still not fully healed so i go back in 2 weeks, which is 2 days away now. However, i don't feeling pain from my lung anymore but i still feel like bubbling in my chest, like air popping? Also, i have this weird sensation where when i move or bend over or do something, i feel like something is coming up the back of my throat? like it tickles my throat and i n eed to cough but it's only a small cough, it's so weird?? It's like i need to burp but i don't? I'm worried as i've never felt this before, i'm thinking there is air still leaking or stuck in my chest and it's making me feel like this? Does anybody know what is wrong with me? lol more

Resolved Question: Extreme Constipation - I need help. Urgent.?

I previously posted a question about this but didn't get a lot of answers. I am extremely constipated and have been for about a year now. At first when this problem started back in last April I was on a cruise. I drank prune juice on the cruise and that helped me. Then when I got home I was constipated but it didn't bother me that much. Then over the summer I went to a GI doctor who told me to do a complete colon cleanse with 17 caps of Miralax in 64 ounces of Gaterade which I did over a two day period. That helped flush me out and for about two months of so I felt cleaned out. Everyday I would have to drink a cap full of miralax to keep me going. I tried suppositories and laxatives which didn't help me and prune juice didn't help me either anymore. Then after two months of doing that school started and I was backed up again. We went back to the doctor and he told me to do another cleanse which I did. But this time the cleanse only worked for about a week. They found out I had acid reflux so they put me on medicine for that, and I am also taking probiotics, a prescription medicine that was hard for my doctor to get me on since im not 18 yet, I take miralax twice a day and I also take Ducolax. The GI doctor did a colonoscopy which showed nothing. I have had numerous x-rays that show that I am extremely backed up. They have done blood work which has come back fine. I recently went into the hospital and had an NG tube put down my nose into my stomach to get fully cleaned out. It cleaned me out but after two days I was backed up again. When I do go to the bathroom it is very small amounts, almost pencil thin. They have tested me for lactose which came back negative. I am seeing a physical therapist right now who says my abdominal muscles are extremely tight and irritated and she has done some dry needle therapies which is supposed to release your muscles but it hasn't done anything. I'm going to see a motility specialist next week. I am always extremely bloated, even if I eat anything or I dont. Im trying to eat gluten free now to see if that will help. I'm always extremely depressed because of this because I feel like im gaining weight and I feel like I look fat all the time. Im very uncomfortable all the time and gasey but I can't go. You can feel the lumps on the left and right side of my stomach because im so backed up. PLEASE HELP ME. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I'm going on a cruise in two weeks and I don't want to feel this bad.I am also very active. I work out a lot, I eat very very very healthy and I drink tons and tons of water everyday.I have also done a lot of enemas. Maybe too many. I have to do atleast one or two a week to help me feel okay because I'm so backed up and bloated. Once I do an enema it doesn't release everything that is inside of me, and I just get backed up again.And my problem is is that I have done enemas, numerous cleanses (even hospitalized to do a cleanse) and other things and I have been FULLY cleaned out (the x-rays have showed that my large and small intestene was fully cleaned out) but within two days I was extremely backed up again and I couldn't go to the bathroom. more
